Day 7 - January 22

Q – Will I have to be near a bathroom? I hear that this happens when cleansing.

Q – Do I have to give up coffee?
A – For best results you should not drink coffee and I have a really easy way of easing you off coffee.
Q – Will I have a headache or lack of energy?
A – Our goal is to ease you into the program so you will feel as good as possible. If you are a heavy coffee drinker, you may experience some cleansing symptoms like a headache but that is just withdrawl and that will not last.
Q – I smoke, maybe I should wait to quit before I start?

Q – I don’t have any weight to lose. Is a cleanse right for me?

Q – I work out a lot. Can I still work out while cleansing?

Kick start your Weight loss!

The dreaded weight-loss plateau

It  happens, don't be discouraged! Heres a step by step plan to get you back to losing fat and building sexy lean muscle!

Step 1: Have a look at your diet, are you eating as well as you think? Check it out at

Everyone thinks they eat healthy, if your jeans are too tight then you need to take an honest look at what your really are eating!

Step 2: Include a high quality protein and good fat to every meal and snack.

Most importantly control your portion sizes! Too much of anything will stall your fatloss!

Step 3: Change your workout, vary the intensity, the exercises, and the tempo.

Step 4: STAY CONSISTENT!!!!  Forget the perfect workout and just get it done. Anything done consistently will get more results than a perfect workout that gets done periodically!

Here are a few suggestions you can use to help you lose fat and make the process easier.

Exercise. Exercise can boost your results ten-fold, especially if it includes weight training. Not only will weight training help you build lean muscle, which helps burn fat, but it can also help strengthen bones. Be sure to consult a health-care professional before starting any exercise program.

Extra protein. A scoop of IsaPro with 1-1½ scoops of IsaLean Shake may be sufficient to provide an extra boost for supporting weight loss.
Snack right. We all snack. Just avoid snacking on high-calorie, nutrient-deficient foods. In other words, keep the cake, potato chips and ice cream out of the house.

Make “better bad” eating choices. If you’re out at a fast food restaurant and a greasy burger is calling your name, just choose a single-patty with lettuce and tomato and hold the cheese and mayo.

Dietary fiber. Be sure you are receiving sufficient amounts of dietary fiber daily. Fiber helps keep you feeling satisfied longer while also keeping bowel movements regular. Isagenix recommends gradually increasing fiber to 25-30 grams daily, in line with current National Fiber Council recommendations. Say no to “bad” fats. The “bad” includes saturated andtrans fats. “Good” fats include olive oil rich in oleic acid and fish oil rich in omega-3 fatty acids. To take ultimate advantage of omega-3 fatty acids, it’s best to take ahigh-potency, high-quality fish oil supplement daily.  New research also shows that dietary omega-3 fatty acids may be linked to lower bodyweight.

Mix it up. We all have individual differences. Something that may work for one person may not work for the next. Be sure to try a few different things and see what works best for you.

Whatever you do, it’s important that you don’t become discouraged. Shoot all scales. Pay attention to your body. As you continue to enjoy a reduced-calorie diet, providing your body with quality nutrition, and building muscle through exercise, then the weight will begin to come off safely.

Cleansing to help Haiti

Today I was doing my workout and I had a thought.  There has been so much talk about the tragedy in Haiti and I had been sitting on the fence wondering how I could best make a contribution.  I could sit on the fence and not do anything forever but I decided that whatever I can do would make a difference whether it be big or small. I don’t want to get caught up in analysis paralysis, trying to figure out where  the best place to make my donation would be.  So, for the week of February 14th, the week of love, I am going to donate my entire Isagenix pay cheque to the Red Cross’s relief fund for the people of Haiti.  I was inspired by my friend Michelle Miguez who is donating funds from her Reiki and massage services for January and February to the people of Haiti.
