Moms eat fat for weight loss!

Fat? I know your thinking I thought fat was our enemy.

Actually, quite the opposite good fat is the key to losing that tire around your mid-section!

There are three types of good fats

1. Monounsaturated fat which is liquid at room temperature and may start to solidify in the fridge.

2. Polyunsaturated fat which is liquid both at room and refrigerator  temperatures

3. The mighty Omega-3 fatty acids

Today we are going to focus on the latest research on monounsaturated fat.

Research has shown that these fats are flexible and actually glide through the arteries whereas the yucky saturated fat don't glide as much as they bounce and damage the arteries reducing the ability of the blood vessels to expand and impair blood flow up to 3 hours!

Think about that before you reach for that nice big greasy burger!

What are these amazing monounsaturated fatty acids?

You can find this incredible fat in your grocery store in the foods listed below:

1. Oils like olive, walnut, and flaxseed

2. Olives (my favourite!)

3. Nuts and seeds

4. Avocados

5. Dark chocolate

Now you know what they are and where to get them I bet you what to know how they help you lose your belly fat! Oh, and of course how much you should eat!

A word of caution, these fats are good for you but they are also very high in calories so remember to watch your portions!

Moms, I need your help!

istock_000009500168smallIt seems like we are surrounded by fitness and nutritional programs, heck we have tried at least half of them. Most of them are sitting on a shelf somewhere collecting dust. Ironically when the next latest and greatest program comes along we jump and buy it, hoping that this time it will be different, this time it will work.

Sexy abs for busy moms!

Here is your plan to get started so you can wear form fitting tops, sit down without your belly spilling over your pants and of course you can put on your bathing suit confidence!

Skinny Jeans Workout

Step 1: Download my free ebook how to get back into your  skinny jeans for easy to follow steps to improve your diet  easily and effectively.

Step 2: Buy a notebook and cue cards

Step 3: Take a before picture of you in a bathing suit or shorts  and tank top with the date from a newspaper.

Step 4: Place before picture on cue card, somewhere you can see it when temptation is calling and you need to remind yourself why you are doing this.

Step 5: Open your notebook and write down why you want to lose weight.

I want you to write down your answer and then ask the same question over and over until you find the real reason that drives you to make decisions.

For example I want to lose weight because I hate being overweight, having nothing to wear and feeling bad about myself when I go out

Why do I have nothing to wear and why do I feel bad?

I have nothing to wear because I refuse to go shopping, shopping makes me feel bad and makes me realize how big I really am.

I feel bad because I feel unattractive and out of control with my eating, I avoid sex and intimate contact with my boyfriend or husband because I am embrassed about I look.

I want to lose weight because I will feel better about myself and I will be so excited to buy sexy clothes in normal sizes. It will feel amazing to feel good in my skin and  not embrassed about how I look.

My why is increase my self confidence so I can have a more fulfilling relationship with my husband and I will be happier and have more energy to spend time with my family and friends. I will look forward to family gathering and girls night out rather than make excuses to avoid them.

Step 6: Write your why down on a cue card

Step 7: Write down the benefits of losing weight in your notebook

Here are a few to get you started

  1. Increase in energy
  2. Increase in self confidence
  3. Clothes fit better
  4. Feel better physically
  5. Feel better mentally

There is 7 steps to get you started, I know you know what these reasons are.

If you keep doing what you have always done you get the same results!

Do these steps and before you realize it you will be losing weight and barely trying!

In the article below it gives you a snapshot of who is this Tamara and why should I listen to her? You will learn my background and why I am here today on the web instead of working pulling 12 hour days in the gym. Ever since she was young, Tamara Kosaba’s passion for fitness and well-being has brought her notice. You may have known someone like her when you were in school: the encouraging one who led the class on cross-country runs. Always reaching out and showing the way. For Tamara, this was the genesis of a fulfilling career.

While some worked in fast food, a 15year-old Tamara was promoting gym memberships for Fitness World, earning her workout time as a perk. And over the next decade she built upon this foundation by working with some of the best personal trainers of the day – further refining her methods and techniques.

Balancing her career with education, Tamara studied at Simon Fraser University, acquiring an impressive list of credentials: a BGS with a double minor in Kinesiology and Gerontology; a Certificate in Health and Fitness Studies; and another in Applied Human Nutrition. These achievements, along with being multi-certified in Pilates and Personal Training, gave her the practical and theoretical knowledge and skill to provide a deeper, more profound understanding of her clients’ needs and helping them meet their fitness and wellness goals.

Tamara’s life was then touched by tragedy with the sudden passing of her father, taken by cancer far too early in his life. This effected her profoundly. Mourning her father, she reassessed her life and future, before realizing it was time to start a family of her own and give her career a break. Tragedy struck once more taking her mother and because Tamara was home taking care of her children she was able to care for her mother in the last 6 months of her life.

These experiences drive Tamara to be proactive in her health and inspires her to teach others how to take care of their body to ensure a long healthy life!

It was through these life-changing experiences that Tamara was inspired to create her personal training method for busy moms. By combining her personal experiences as a mother of two with everything she’d learned throughout her career and education, she has designed a program specifically for new moms to quickly regain or exceed their pre-pregnancy fitness levels. It’s the culmination of a lifetime of knowledge and it’s available now to those who wish to be: Fit. Sexy and Strong.
